CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION

  • ENROLLMENT - Campers are enrolled on a first come, first served basis as per the date of receipt of the registration form and deposit. Confirmation of enrollment and receipt, along with an invoice for balance due (if applicable) will be sent via email. Additionally a pre-camp newsletter will be sent to help families get ready for camp.

  • WAITING LIST -When a camp session fills, a wait list is started. Applicants will be notified of their wait list status. Registration fees are not processed until applicants are placed in a session.

  • SESSION CHANGE -Session change requests are based on availability of spaces in camp.

  • CANCELLATION -If a cancellation occurs at least one week prior to the start of the session enrolled, tuition already paid will be applied to another session of camp or refunded.

  • REFUNDS -There are no refunds for campers dismissed from the program due to illness or disciplinary reasons, or for campers who choose to withdraw early from the program already in session. If camper leaves due to an injury incurred at camp, a prorated portion of the tuition will be refunded.

  • RELEASE -Parents/Guardians are required to sign a general release and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement prior to camper being placed in a session. Proof of insurance is required for all campers.

  • DEPOSIT REQUIRED: A deposit of $100 is required to hold your spot for each session registered for. There are no refunds of deposits or registration fee under any circumstances.

  • PAYMENTS: are due at least 2 weeks prior to first day of camp. I understand that there will be no refunds, credits, or reductions for absences due to illness, vacation or studio closure for holidays (i.e. 4th of July, Christmas, etc.), acts of god, or for any other reason. Failure to pay in advance will result in a child’s non-participation in the program and an immediate dismissal. Parent(s) will be responsible to re-register their child if space is still available.

  • RETURNED CHECKS: I understand that if my check is returned to the office from the bank for any reason, I will be charged the amount of the check PLUS a $35.00 service fee. ALL payments made thereafter will have to be made in cash or by valid credit card.

PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • PICKUP/DROPOFF: Parents/guardians must come inside and sign campers in and out every day. If someone other than you is allowed to pick up your child, please indicate who that is on the registration form. Additionally, ID may be required for pick up.

  • LATE PICK-UP FEES: I understand that if I pick up my child after 3:15 P.M for camp, I will be charged the daily rate for after-care of $15 per child per day unless they are already enrolled and paid in full for after-care. We start evening classes at 5:30pm, so if a child is still in the gym, they will be charged for the classes. Payment of late pick-up fees must be paid in full PRIOR to my child continuing in the program and there will be NO REFUNDS or credit for future services.

  • BEHAVIOR: I understand that my child must adhere to the rules and regulations of SCA. I understand that my child must wear appropriate attire to attend camp. I understand that my child must give their attention to the instructors and /or counselors for each class he/she attends and adhere to the instructor’s and/or counselor’s directions during camp. Any child not following these guidelines/procedures will be excluded from camp activities until they are willing and able to do so. No refunds will be provided due to behavior problems on the part of the child. This is to ensure that everyone attending the camp has a safe and enjoyable experience and gets the best instruction available. The goal of a camp session is to learn, have fun and put on a performance at the end of each session so following the directions of the instructions and counselors is imperative to accomplish this.

  • POSITIVE ENVIRONMENT: I understand that SCA encourages and demands positive reinforcement by its employees, students, and parents of our students. I understand I share in this responsibility and will not judge the talent or abilities of any student that participates in any SCA classes or performances. SCA reserves the right to not provide services to anyone that does not share in this belief.

  • EATING/DRINKING: I understand that no food or beverages are allowed in any Camp Class before, during or after class. Students are only allowed to eat or drink during assigned breaks and during lunch. We provide ample time during the day for snacks, water breaks, and lunch. Therefore, we ask for the students attention during class so they can get the most out of the experience. Our camp is very physical and it can get warm in the gym. Bring a water bottle to refill during the day.

  • LUNCH OPTIONS: Lunch and snacks can be provided by parents for students. There are some local options for students that want to purchase lunch. We work with some of the local area restaurants and options and pricing can be made available upon request. We can take orders and payments from the students (or parents during drop-off) in the morning so our orders arrive on time. ABSOLUTELY NO PEANUT BUTTER AT CAMP! Parents, please refrain from packing peanut butter sandwiches, and any other peanut products in your children’s lunches. A refrigerator will be available. Campers need healthy lunches to supply them with enough energy to excel. Please send your child to camp with a good protein source and fruit and/or vegetables. We do not allow soda, gum or candy or other sweets during camp.

  • ATTIRE / PERSONAL BELONGINGS - Campers should wear clothing that is easy to move in and appropriate for being upside down. For circus girls leotards or one piece bathing suits with leggings or shorts to go over leotards; hair ties (hair must be up if long), closed toed shoes and socks are preferred. For Circus boys tee shirts, gym shorts, briefs (no boxer shorts), sliders or leggings for aerialist, close toed shoes, NO pajamas, cargo shorts or jeans, flip flops, sandals or slippers – Foot protection is very important at camp. Crocs are perfect camp shoes. NO jewelry, or watches, or other valuables are allowed at camp. We do not have secure lockers for personal valuable storage. NO Electronics such as cell phones, lap tops, mini computers, Ipods, MP3 players, money or checks, and portable game consoles. If such items are brought to camp and are lost, stolen or damaged SCA is not responsible.

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY: Personal hygiene is very important for your health and our safety. Body to body contact spreads germs so keep your body clean. Please make sure your campers bathe every day. All cuts or open wounds must be covered with a bandage. Please do not share clothes, hair ties, combs or hair brushes. Do not share drinking containers. Wash your hands often and use the hand sanitizers. We do our best to keep the facility and equipment clean with regular sanitary maintenance. You must do the same yourselves. Be kind to your partners and coaches, wear deodorant!

  • CODE OF CONDUCT: All campers will adhere to the full values contract below. Full Values Contract is a verbal agreement within a group to try, support, and encourage everyone to achieve their personal best. The F.V.C. is used to secure the bonds of teamwork, perseverance, and dedication in a learning environment. We will ask the campers to abide by the following philosophy: “I will try everything and be respectful to my instructors; I will try everything and support and encourage myself and my friends; I will model this behavior all the time because I am a leader by example”. Parents please discuss examples of good behavior with your children to aid in the cohesion and flow of camp functions. The consequence for not adhering to this policy is removal from camp activities, removal from the showcase or dismissal from camp. Bullying or another disruption to the learning environment will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

SHOWCASE DETAILS:

  • Notes for Parents: On the Friday of each session (see schedule below) we will end the camp experience with a showcase for friends and family at 4:45 pm. See the dates of the showcase below. Parents can take photos of campers in costume from 4 -4:30. At 4:30 we will have an all cast meeting and start the show promptly at 4:45pm. Please dress comfortably as it is warm in the gym in the summer. We will have refreshments on hand, as well as camp merchandise available for purchase. After the show, campers will need to change out of their costumes back into clean clothes.
